(Voice of Paul) – Today, Wednesday, March 6, Ghana previously named Gold Coast by the heinous and oppressive British colonists celebrates its 67th Independence Day from the hands of those who claimed to have brought the Gospel of Christ to this Africa but were still able to amputate millions of Congolese hands and legs just for the fun of it. Ghana claims to be celebrating independence from people who sold their ancestors for a slate of mirror, people who drowned their ancestors in Atlantic Oceans, and padlocked their mouths in Sugar Cane plantations in the Southern parts of the United States.

Can we really say that Ghana is independent? Even though I am a Nigerian, but anywhere a Black person resides, maybe in Cuba, Ethiopia or Lesotho, we are one people, the ship only stopped at different ports, but we are the same people with common history and values.
Today, Chevron, the International Monetary Fund, TotalEnergies, Ford, KFC, Apple, Tesla, and Puma run the Ghanaian economy just as much as they run the Nigerian economy as well. The earlier we realize that consuming these products directly pumps money back into the economies of people who want to keep their unseen yet choking economic noose on us, the better it will be for us to embrace ourselves, love ourselves, our food, our language, drive #Kantata Automobiles instead of #Ford.
Not to forget that African countries should stop calling a day like this, Independence Day and they should call it National Day, Ghana Day, or Republic Day because why are we calling it Independence Day? Independence from who? Aren’t we honouring the terrible, inhumane, heinous, murderous British, Germans, Spanish and French colonists who colonized most of our countries?
